199 URI Student-Athletes Named to Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Thursday that 3,168 student-athletes have earned 2017-18 Commissioner’s Honor Roll distinction, 199 of which hail from the University of Rhode Island.

This marks the first time the Commissioner’s Honor Roll has been based on the entire academic year. Previously the award was granted following each semester. To be selected for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and freshmen are eligible to receive the award.
