2011: Appeared in nine games overall, including five starts at quarterback... In five starts (nine games overall), he completed 59.6 percent of his passes (93-of-156). It was the fourth highest single season completion percentage in school history, and also put Bentsen atop the career percentage leaders at Rhode Island... Finished the season with 1,137 passing yards and nine touchdowns... Rushed 39 times for 163 yards and one touchdown... With his start against Delaware (), Bentsen became the first Rhode Island native to start at quarterback for the Rams since Steve Holland on Sept. 12, 1992. Bentsen responded well, throwing for 278 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-34 victory for the Rams.
