Kickoff for Brown Game Moved to 7 p.m. on Sept. 30

KINGSTON, R.I. – The kickoff for the 102nd Governor's Cup between Brown and Rhode Island has been moved to 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 30.

Originally scheduled for noon, the game now becomes the fourth consecutive night game played at Brown Stadium in the rivalry. Rhode Island is looking for its second straight win in the series, and its first win at Brown Stadium since defeating the Bears 49-42 in 2007.

Last year the Rams defeated Brown 28-13, breaking a five-year skid. Rhode Island is looking to defend the Cup for the first time since 2008, when they defeated Brown 37-13 at Meade Stadium for its third consecutive victory over the Bears.

A press conference for the Governor's Cup game will be held at the Statehouse with Gov. Raimondo on Monday, Sept. 25, the week of the game.
