RHODE ISLAND VS. ST. BONAVENTURE - SERIES NOTES

  • Thursday wlll be the 55th meeting between Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure, and the second this season.
  • St. Bonaventure holds a 31-23 advantage in the all-time series.
  • In the last meeting between the two teams, St. Bonaventure handed the Rams a 84-68 loss in Kingston, R.I.
  • The Bonnies have won the last 12 straight meetings with Rhode Island.
  • The last Rhody win came on March 7, 2008. The Rams won 61-49 in the first round of the Atlantic 10 tournament in Philadelphia, Pa.
  • Mckenna Maycock leads the Bonnies with 11.9 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game.
  • Both the Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure are looking to get back into the win swing, as the Bonnies have lost the last four and the Rams have lost their last eight.

JONES PROVIDING BOOST OFF BENCH

  • Rhode Island junior Erin Jones provided 12 points last time out against Duquesne on 5-of-6 from the field. The 12 points were a career high.
  • Jones, a transfer from Hartford, sat out last season due to NCAA rules.
  • The High Bridge, N.J. native has appeared in 19 games in her first season with the Rams, including her first career start in the win over North Dakota.
  • She played a career-high 23 minutes at Minnesota, scoring eight points including a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe.

2019 ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIP

  • The 2019 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will be March 8-10 hosted by Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. with all 14 teams taking part in the tournament.
  • The first round will be featured on campus sites and the top two teams in the conference earn a bye.
  • Semifinal Saturday on CBS Sports Network tips off at 11:00 a.m., followed by the second semifinal at 1:30 p.m.
  • The Championship game will air on ESPNU Sunday at noon.
