Rams Shut Out by Fairfield in Final Non-Conference Game

How It Happened
Rhode Island (12-26) managed just two hits as it was blanked 10-0 in a non-conference game against Fairfield Wednesday afternoon.

It was just a 1-0 game through the first three innings, with the lone run for the visiting Stags (22-17) coming on an error in the top of the first inning. Fairfield added a single run in the fourth, two more in the fifth and then broke the game open with a six-run rally in the top of the sixth inning.
