How It Happened
Rhode Island cruised to a 6-1 victory at Providence on Sunday afternoon. The Rams won the doubles point, as the pairings of Taylor Holden/Emily Zargham and Rachel Smilansky/Nicole Legler each won their match.
In singles play, Rhody swept the 1-5 spots against the Friars. Mihaela Codreanu (#1), Taylor Holden (#2), and Tiara Higuchi (#4) all won in straight sets. The match was previously scheduled for Saturday but moved to Sunday due to the inclement weather.

"We played very well today. It was great to see Taylor Holden lead us, in both singles and doubles. This afternoon was another good win on the road for a young team. I am very happy with our progress."
