Gilmer, Jones to Appear on Jim Fleming Coaches Show Tonight

KINGSTON, R.I. – Assistant linebackers coach Troy Gilmer and sophomore safety Nas Jones will appear on the Jim Fleming Coaches Show tonight at the Mews in Wakefield, R.I. at 6 p.m.

Now in his third season at Rhode Island, Gilmer works closely with Rhode Island's linebackers. Senior Adam Parker leads the team with 37 tackles, while sophomore Justin Hogan is third on the team with 30 stops, despite missing almost two full games earlier in the year.

Jones, who has started all five games games at safety, is fourth on the team with 29 tackles, including 18 solo stops. He also has one interception, one tackle for loss and two pass break-ups. Despite being a true sophomore, he is the veteran of the Rhode Island secondary, having appeared in all 16 possible games of his career.

Host Steve McDonald will touch on last weekend's win over Brown while also looking ahead to Saturday's CAA Football contest against No. 12/14 Villanova.
