Rhody (4-22, 0-14 Atlantic 10) kept it close in the first quarter, trailing 11-8. The Rams limited George Mason (13-14, 6-8 A-10) to 23.5 percent (4-for-17) from the floor. While George Mason struggled to find any rhythm on offense, Jorgensen scored seven points in the period, including her first career 3-pointer. Amari Johnson added four points as Rhody took a 24-22 lead into the break.

It was the Rams who struggled in the third, making just 3-of-11 field goals in the third while George Mason was 8-for-17 in the period. Sparked by back-to-back 3-point plays from Kara Wright and Alexis Grate, the Patriots opened a 10-point lead at 40-30 with 1:58 to go in the third, helping the hosts take an 11-point lead into the final quarter.

The Patriots pushed the lead to as many as 15 points in the fourth. Rhody ended the game on an 8-3 run to get the deficit back to single digits, but they could not avoid the loss.
