Rhode Island Drops Regular-Season Finale at UMass, 4-0

How It Happened
Massachusetts (16-4, 4-1 Atlantic 10) swept Rhode Island, 4-0, as the teams played to clinch Thursday afternoon.

Rhode Island (6-8, 1-3 A-10) dropped its fourth straight match. Freshman Erin Chratian and junior Mihaela Codreanu were still playing at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively, when the match was sealed by UMass.

Despite a loss at No. 5 singles, freshman Paulina Loredo again played well. She gave Martina Bocchi a competitive match before falling, 7-5, 6-4.
