Erin Chratian Named to A-10 Second Team; Ariel Haber Earns All-Academic Honor

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island freshman Erin Chratian was named to the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis All-Conference Team, while senior Ariel Haber was one of six women named to the league's Academic All-Conference Team, it was announced Monday afternoon.

Chratian earned second-team honors after playing No. 1 singles for the Rams for the entire season. The Atlanta, Ga. native was 10-9 in singles play, which was tied for the most wins on the team. She also won seven matches in singles play. Chratian was one of only three freshman on the all-conference team, joining Jodie Lawrence-Taylor from Massachusetts and Katarina Marinkovikj of George Washington.

Haber - a four-team member of the Rhody lineup - had a 3.95 grade-point average in

URI's PharmD program. The Wallkill, New York native has been extremely versatile, playing in all six singles and all three doubles spots in the Rhody lineup during her career. She won four matches in singles play - including a 3-2 mark in the No. 6 singles spot - and she ended her career with a victory at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Rhody's loss to Saint Louis.
