Rhode Island women's track and field returns to competition this Friday and Saturday at the David Hemery Invitational and the URI Coaches Tribute.
Five competitors will make the trip to Boston University Friday while the rest of the team will host the Annual Coaches Tribute on Saturday.
Competing for the team at the Hemery Invite will be Lotte Black who in enters in the mile, Mikaila Amerantes and Kelly MacDonnell in the 200 and 400 meters, and Kristina MacLure and Greta Scott in the 400 meters.
This is a non-scoring meet with teams from Assumption, Bryant, Hartford, Holy Cross, New Hampshire, Northeastern, Providence College, Quinnipiac, Rhode Island, UMass-Amherst and Stonehill.
Prior to the meet Rhode Island will honor 15 of its graduating seniors: Shelby Aarden, Mikaila Amerantes, Alyssa Brehler, Moira Collins, Carleisha Forteau, Lindsay Goulet, Saige Grazia, Elaina Hobbs, Katie McNulty, Keilan Nova, Sheila Plunkett, Natalie Sopchak, Sydney Sopchak, Bailey Thayer, and Leah Wolf.
