Rhode Island junior Lotte Black finished fourth out of 12 runners at the NCAA Championship in the 1500 meter final on Saturday. Black broke the record she previously set two days ago, crossing the finish line in 4:13.02. It is her ninth school record she has broken in her junior campaign.

The Ambler, Pa. native is the first track individual in program history to reach the final rounds. She set nine program records this year, and raked in a total of four A-10 weekly Track Performer of the Week nods. She was crowned Atlantic 10 champion four times, twice at the Indoor Championship (mile, 1000 meter) and twice at the Outdoor Championship (1500 meter, 800 meter).

The only other three individuals to reach the final rounds were throwers Crystal Bourque (Hammer, 2011), Jasmine Jennings (Hammer, 2008; Hammer, 2009) and Sarah Thornton (Hammer, 2008).
