Fleming Announces 2025 Football Schedule

KINGSTON, R.I. - Head coach Jim Fleming, jointly with CAA Football, released the 2025 Rhode Island Football schedule on Wednesday morning.

The Rams will play a 12-game slate for the second year in a row, with five contests set to take place at Meade Stadium and seven scheduled on the road.

The reigning CAA Football champions will kick off the year opposite Campbell on Friday, Aug. 29 at Meade Stadium. Rhody will then hit the road for back-to-back games at Stony Brook (Sept. 6) and Holy Cross (Sept. 13).

After playing the Crusaders, URI will return home for another non-conference matchup against LIU (Sept. 20), followed by a road trip to FBS foe Western Michigan (Sept. 27).

The middle of Rhode Island's schedule is highlighted by the 43rd annual Governor's Cup, which will be played at Brown on Oct. 4. URI has retained the hardware for six consecutive years.

Conference play will continue for the Rams at home against New Hampshire on Oct. 11. Rhode Island will then play at UAlbany (Oct. 18) and at home against Bryant (Oct. 25) before its week 10 bye.

Following the break, Rhody will have a two-week road stint with stops at Elon (Nov. 8) and Maine (Nov. 15). The regular season will conclude at Meade Stadium on Nov. 22 against Hampton.

FCS Playoffs will begin the weekend of Nov. 29. The Rams received an at-large selection to the 2024 field, going 1-1 with a win over Central Connecticut State before ending their season at Mercer.
