KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Rhode Island will hold its annual Day of Giving Thursday, Oct. 6.
Day of Giving is the University of Rhode Island's day to give back. With your help, URI will raise critical funds for all of our programs. Starting at midnight and running through 11:59 p.m., Day of Giving is an opportunity for alumni, families, students, faculty and friends to join together and show their Rhody pride by making a gift to maximize participation and impact.
The men's teams that raise the most money on Day of Giving will win bonus funds for their program:
- First Place: $7,500
- Second Place: $5,000
- Third Place: $2,500
- Fourth Place: $1,000
The women's teams that raise the most money on Day of Giving will win the following bonus funds for their program:
- First Place: $7,500
- Second Place: $5,000
- Third Place: $2,500
- Fourth Place: $1,000
- Fifth Place: $7500
- Sixth Place: $500
The URI Spirit Squads (Ram Band, Rammettes and Cheerleaders) also will be raising funds. The suad the raises the most will receive $1,500 and the next highest will receive $1,000
