KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Rowing wrapped up its non-championship slate at the Eastern Sprints on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond.
The Rams' Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ had the team's top finishes, as both crews advanced to the Petite Final in their respective boat classes.

Evelyn Tabor finished fifth in the Varsity 4+ Petite Final, edging sixth-place Michigan State by nearly 10 full seconds. URI had a strong morning heat, finishing just 0.3 seconds behind a Northeastern lineup that later won the Petite Final.
The Varsity 8+ Petite Final was tightly-contested, with the Rams also grabbing fifth place.

Ellie McGee fought off a charging Boston College crew for its palcement. The Eagles were just 1.4 seconds behind the Rams.
Rhody's other NCAA boat, the Second Varsity 8+, advanced to the Fourth Final while the Second Varsity 4+ earned a spot in the Third Final.
