University of Rhode Island Student Athletic Ticket Policy 2023-24 Men's Basketball
Update April 20, 2023 – All currently enrolled University of Rhode Island Undergraduate Students are eligible to claim a free student tickets to Rhode Island Football and Men's and Women's Basketball games. Based on limited seating capacities and higher ticket demand for Football, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball a student cap of 1000 free tickets/access is in place. 2023-24 Men's Basketball Information
- PLEASE NOTE - FOR MEN'S BASKETBALL THERE IS A NEW STUDENT ENTRANCE LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RYAN CENTER. FOR MEN'S BASKETBALL GAMES THIS YEAR STUDENTS MUST ENTER AT THE ENTRANCE ONLY.
URI students with a valid student ID will have the opportunity to receive free admission to all home men's basketball games.
- There are 1,000 guaranteed tickets available for currently enrolled URI undergraduate students for all home Basketball games. If available additional seats will be made available to students on a game-by-game basis.
- A limited online-only ticket pre-sale will be offered first to all RUCKUS members three (3) days prior to the game starting at 10 AM followed by the general student online-only on-sale two (2) days prior to the game starting at 10 AM.
- The student ticket is good for one general admission ticket located in the Student Areas in the Ryan Center. Student seating in the Ryan Center is located in Sections 101, 102, 201, 202, 215, and 301.
- Students who successfully secure a ticket will be provided with a Mobile game ticket to be scanned at the student gate on your mobile device.
- Once the ticket capacity is reached, the event is sold out.
- Tickets will remain on sale up until game time should tickets remain available, however, once the limit is reached the event will close for sale.
- Mobile/Digital tickets will be emailed to each qualifying URI student at the time of their request once they have completed the online ticket request. Upon receipt students will simply click a link within their email (email listed in your ecampus account) that will prompt them to add the ticket to their Apple or GPay Wallet.
- All students with a ticket saved in their phone's digital wallet are eligible for admission to the selected game.
- Tickets and seating are on a first-come, first-served basis, and gates for general students open sixty (60) minutes prior to tip-off and seventy-five (75) minutes for Ruckus members.
- Once the ticket capacity is reached, the event is sold out.
- Should you not be able to attend the game after securing a ticket you can transfer your ticket to another URI student for no cost or you can contact the ticket office at 401-874-RAMS, tickets@theryancenter.com, or by texting "Rhody" to 401-874-7267 to return your ticket.
- Students that claim tickets and do not use them are subject to restrictions for pre-sale access for future games.
- Companion Seating for Men's Basketball: For select games, companion seating is offered to URI students and their guests. When joined by a current URI student, guests may purchase a ticket in the student section. Companion tickets are priced at the lowest available ticket price for that game. Companion seating is based on availability and is not offered for all games based on the limited student capacity.
- Please Note: During certain high-demand games, alternative student policies and procedures may be implemented.

ANY ATTEMPT AT SELLING YOUR STUDENT TICKET, OR ANY STUDENT EJECTED FROM A GAME WILL LOSE ACCESS TO TICKETS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES PURSUANT TO THE STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT.
Game Entry and Seating
- A mobile/digital ticket AND valid URI ID are required for entry.
- This will be strictly enforced. The name on the RAM Card must match the name on the digital ticket.
- Mobile/Digital tickets must be saved in the student's Apple or G Pay Wallet prior to arriving at the game.
- General admission seating in student approved sections
- Large bags and/or backpacks are prohibited. Only small clutch purses or clear tote bags. For more information on the bag policy please click here.

Behavior Policy
- All students must agree to sit in approved-only seating locations indicated by a specific seat marker.
- Misconduct at games will be subject to review by the Office of Student Affairs and will result in the forfeiture of a student ticket for the next home game.
- Misconduct includes but is not limited to:
- Using another student's ID to enter the game.
- Violent or aggressive behavior.
- Possession of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances.
- Failure to adhere to stadium policies.
- Ticket Resale / Transfer Policy
- URI students are prohibited from reselling student tickets for profit. Students found to be in violation of this policy will be penalized. Penalties include the cancellation of single-game tickets, the cancellation of tickets already purchased or claimed, and the loss of student ticket privileges.
