• Earned three varsity letters in outdoor track, two in indoor track, and one each in cross country and football.
• Also played hockey for two seasons and lacrosse for one.
• Sun Chronicle Honorable Mention for Outdoor Season his junior and senior years.
• Hocknock League Champions in both indoor and outdoor track his sophomore, junior and senior years.

• Son of John and Debra Copponi.
• Has two younger brothers: Christopher and Matthew.
• Chose URI for the "beautiful campus and impressive STEM programs."
• Interests include relaxing, hanging with friends and attending his brothers' sporting events.
• Favorite athlete is Ashton Eaton.
• Favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics.
• Chose URI over the University of New Haven and UMass Dartmouth.
• Majoring in Marie Biology.
