Chris Passmore enters his fourth season with the Rams in2013-14, recently being promoted to Assistant Coach after spendingthe previous three years as head coach Cathy Inglese's Director ofOperations.

In his new role, he will serve as the team's post coach,overseeing the development of Rhode Island's forwards. Prior to hispromotion, Passmore handled game scheduling, film exchange,coordinating team events, facility scheduling, community serviceand fundraising, in addition to assisting the coaching staff withother day-to-day operations.

Passmore comes to URI from nearby Roger Williams University(Bristol, R.I.) where he was an assistant on the women's basketballstaff. In that role, he handled recruiting and evaluating potentialstudent-athletes, mentoring team members and monitoringstudent-athlete academics. He also developed comprehensive practiceplans, scouted and prepared the team for opponents via writtenreports and film breakdowns, and organized community serviceactivities and fundraising. In May of 2010, Passmore was appointedinterim head coach of the program, before leaving to join the Rams'staff.

Prior to his stint with the Hawks, Passmore attended ProvidenceCollege, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Scienceand served as the women's basketball team manager from 2003-07. Inthe summer of 2007, he organized and directed head coach PhilSeymore's basketball camp.

After finishing his undergraduate studies at PC, Passmoreremained with the Friars as a graduate assistant coach and waspromoted to the position of interim assistant coach in 2007-08. Hewent on to earn his Master's degree in Education in the spring of2009.

A native of Tiverton, R.I., Passmore currently resides inNewport with his wife, Christine.
