Jenna Hetzell

Jenna Hetzell rejoined Shelagh Donohoe's coaching staff in 2019, marking her third stint as an assistant.

Hetzell spent the 2010-11 season as a graduate assistant on Donohoe’s staff. From August 2012 through February 2013, she was the novice crew coach for Greater Lawrence Rowing, where she coached the N4 boat to a top three finish at the Head of the Fish Regatta. She returned to Rhode Island from 2013-16.

A four-year member of the team, Hetzell rowed for the Rams from 2006 through 2010. She helped Rhode Island win two Atlantic 10 championships, including its first ever title in 2008.

Hetzell was an Atlantic 10 First-Team All-Conference selection in 2010, when she helped lead the program to its second league crown. That season, the Rams earned their first-ever regional ranking when they were No. 6 in the CRCA New England Region poll for the week of May 6.

A native of Jamesburg, N.J., Hetzell graduated from Rhode Island in 2010 with a degree in kinesiology.
