Michael Eade is entering his second season with the Rhode Islandwomen's soccer program as the goalkeeping coach.

Prior to joining Rhode island Eade served as an assistant coachat Bloomsburg University during the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Whilewith the huskies Eade’s primary responsibility was to workwith the goalkeepers. During his first season he helped guide theteam to a second round appearance in the NCAA tournament.

A native of Buckhurst Hill England, Eade played as a goalkeeperfor two professional clubs in England: the Tottenham HotspurAcademy (Schoolboy) and the Luton Town FC Youth Training Scheme(YTS).

A graduate of NAIA-institution Park University in Parkville,Missouri, Eade holds a bachelor’s degree in businessadministration and management and represented the Pirates’men's soccer team during the 2007, 2008 and 2009 seasons. Eade alsoholds a Master’s of Science degree in instructionaltechnology from Bloomsburg University.

During his collegiate career, Eade played in 42 games, includingtwo NAIA national tournament games. He tallied 16 shutouts andrecorded 1.01, 0.96 and 0.89 goals-against averages in his threeyears, respectively and in 2008 was named MCAC Defensive Player ofthe Year.

As a coach, Eade has also worked as the KCFC Allianceboy’s goalkeeper coach, North Union United goalkeeper coachand has worked for Caledonia soccer school. Eade currently holds aFootball Association level-2 coaching qualification, United StatesSoccer Federation 'E' License and a National Soccer CoachesAssociation of America (NSCAA) Level II and Level III GoalkeepingDiploma.
