Before URI
- Attended Woodgrove High School, where she earned four varsity letters on the swim team.
- Competed for the FISH swim team from 2012-18.
- Recognized as Woodgrove’s most valuable swimmer three times (2015, 2016 and 2018).
- Won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events at the 2015 VA 4A State Championship.
- Was a VA 4A All-State Athlete from 2015-18.
- Earned Potomac Valley Scholar Athlete recognition from 2005-18.
- Named to the All Loudoun Girls Swim Team in 2015 and 2016.
- Received the Gauss Award for Mathematics in 2014.
- Was a member of the National Honor Society, German National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society.
- Also participated in the German Club and the Medical Explorers Club.
Personal
- Daughter of Marcy and Darren.
- Has two sisters, Eva Yankes and Grete Lenz.
- Eva (35) attended Old Dominion University and Grete (32) attended the University of Portland, where she ran cross country.
- Her mother, Marcy, ran cross country and track at Clarion University (1974-78).
- Enjoys reading, hiking, Netflix, critiquing movies and swimming.
- Favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
- Majoring in psychology with an interest in forensics.
