Dan Cardiff joined the Rhode Island women's tennis staff as an assistant coach in November of 2023. 

The senior tennis professional at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Cardiff has worked with active ATP and WTA players and has coached beside tennis Hall of Famers from around the world. He also works with the Hall of Fame’s National Junior Tennis and Learning program, Team Fame, to develop young champions from lower socioeconomic status on and off the court.has been the senior tennis professional at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport since May.

Before joining the Hall of Fame staff, Cardiff was the head of competitive development for the Orinda Country Club for five years from August of 2018 through April of 2023. While there, he led the development of competitive tennis players at the club. He ran free tennis programs for underserved families in Oakland. He helped develop tennis players from the junior level to 5.0 level.

Cardiff was a member of both the men’s tennis and men’s track & field programs while attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. A USTA National Open Grass Court Champion in singles and doubles, he is USPTA Certified and is a USRSA certified Master Racquet Technician.

Cardiff earned a degree in Child Development with a minor in Psychology in 2018.
