High School:
Was a four-year member of the varsity tennis team at Middletown High School… Also played lacrosse at MHS… Was her team's No. 1 singles player throughout her four years of high school, combining for an overall record of 73-3 - including a perfect 18-0 mark her sophomore season... Captained her team and earned All-State honors as both a junior and senior… Was a four-time All-Division selection, helping lead her team to the Divisional title in 2008… Also was a member of the USTA team (2008-11), the National Honor Society (2010-12), the French Honor Society (2010-12) and was recognized as a “Magnificent 10” student in 2012 (Top-10 in her class)… Spent time as a Potter League Volunteer, Class Council Representative and Best Buddies Treasurer… Also served as a tennis lesson instructor/club coach and worked at the Newport Naval Base Commissary.

Born June 10, 1994… Daughter of Carolyn and George Bertsch… Has two younger sisters, Sarah and Lauren… Favorite athlete is Rafael Nadal… Favorite team is the Boston Red Sox… Enjoys tennis, lacrosse, reading, running, and volunteering at Potter League - a local animal shelter… Majoring in Pharmacy.
