2014-15 (FRESHMAN):
INDOOR:
NYC Gotham Cup - Finished fifth in the mile run, (5:04.47).
Sorlien Memorial Invitational - Finished second in the 1000m run, (3:01.13).
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Griswold High School… Four-year member of the cross country and indoor/outdoor track teams… Also played basketball during her freshman year... Was the captain for cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track during her senior season… Was All-New England in cross country in 2011 and 2013, and All-State in 2010... Was named the 2011 and 2013 Runner of the Year and the 2014 Athlete of the Year by The Bulletin, a publication in Norwich, Conn... Was a member of a cross country team that won four division championships, two conference championships, and Class SS state championships... Also won two division titles in indoor track... Graduated as the Class of 2014 Salutatorian at Griswold H.S., earned high honors in all four years, and was a National High School Coach's Association Academic All-American all four years... Participated in National Honors Society, Student Council, and the Special Olympics Unified Partners program...
PERSONAL: Born April 8, 1996… Daughter of Steven and Pamela Brehler… Has two siblings, an older brother, Tyler, and a younger sister, Mandy… Enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and baking… Follows the Boston Red Sox… Majoring in communication disorders with intentions to become a speech pathologist and work in an elementary environment with children... Chose URI over the University of Connecticut...
