2012-13 (Senior): Outdoor: Was a member of the team that finished second in the 4x800m relay (9:00.38) at the New England Championship. Also finished fifth in the 1500m run (4:31.72)… Was a member of the team that finished third in the 4x800m relay (9:00.26) at the Atlantic 10 Championship… Won the 800m run (2:14.22) at the Skyhawk Invitational... Finished seventh in the 800m run (2:12.68) and 20th out of 41 in the 1500m run (4:33.68) at the Larry Ellis Invitational… Ran to a second place finish in the 800m run (2:13.42) at the UConn Invitational… Finished sixth in the 1500m run (4:32.04) at the Adidas Raleigh Relays. Was also a member of the team that set a new school record in the 4x1500m relay (19:07.46). 

Indoor: Finished fourth in the 1000m run (2:53.26) at the ECAC Championship… Member of the team that took fifth in the DMR (11:38.66) at the New England Championship, setting a new school record… Was a member of the team that finished second in the 4x800m relay (9:08..00) at the Atlantic 10 Championship… Placed second in the 1000m run (2:59.97) and in the distance medley (12:26.17) at the Coaches Tribute Invitational… Finished 21st out of 111 in the 800m run (2:16.87) at the Terrier Invitational.

2011-12 (Junior): Outdoor: At the North Florida Invite, ran a New England qualifying time of 2:15.80 in the 800m run finishing 14th overall and placed 18th in the 1500-meter run with a New England qualifying time of 4:38.80... At the UConn All-Region Invitational, placed second in the 4x400m relay (3:56.23) and fourth in the 1500m run (4:35.47)... At the Brown Invitational won the 800m run in a personal best time of 2:12.58, which makes her the seventh best URI individual all-time. Also ran a season best in the 4x400m relay (3:52.88).

Indoor: At the Sorlien Invitational, earned third in the 4x400m relay (4:03.63) and fifth in the 1,000m run (3:00.06)... Earned second in the distance medley (12:29.26) at the URI Invite... At the Terrier Classic, placed seventh in the 800m with a personal best and NE & ECAC qual. mark (2:13.10). This makes Madsen the eighth best URI individual all-time... At the Boston University Valentine Invitational, earned a season best in the 1,000m run with a time of 2:55.29, qualifying for both New England's and ECAC. Her time makes her the eighth best URI individual all-time... In the New England Indoor Championship, ran a personal best 4:57.58 in the 1-mile... At the ECAC Indoor Championship, ran a personal and URI junior class best 1,000m in 2:52.00. 

2010-11 (Sophomore): Outdoor: Posted a fifth place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 4:40.44 and was a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished 13th in a time of 4:03.57 at the UCF Invitational...Finished fourth in the 4x400m relay and seventh in the 1,500m run at the UConn All-Region Invitational... Finished fourth in the 800m run in a time of 2:15.83 at the Brown Outdoor Invitational.

Indoor: A member of the 4x800m relay team that finished fifth in a time of 9:17.89 at the Atlantic 10 Championships... Helped Rhody to a top finish in the 4x800m relay at the New England Championships in a time of 9:08.99... A member of the 4x800m relay team that finish 10th at the ECAC Championships in a time of 9:06.22.

High School: Played soccer, basketball and indoor/outdoor track at Chatham High School.... Captained her soccer and track & field teams... Owns records in the 1500, 3000, steeple chase, 4x8 relay and 4x4 relay... Named a Times Union all-star... A member of the High Honor Roll and National Honor Society.

Personal: Born October 15, 1990... Daughter of David and Susan Madsen... Has one borther Justin, who played soccer at Merrimack College... Enjoy soccer, dancing and spending time with family... Lists the N.Y. Giants, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics as her favorite sports teams... Majoring in kinesiology.
