Biography

2011-12 (Graduate Student): Indoor: At the Sorlien Invitational, was the top collegian in the 1,000m, finishing second in a New England and ECAC Championship qualifying time of 2:53.65. This makes Breagy the third best URI individual all-time and the time is the third best URI mark all-time. Also earned third on the 4x400m relay team (4:03.63)... In the URI Invite, her winning 1-mile (4:54.26) time is the second fastest mile all time by a URI athlete. Also earned second in the distance medley (12:29.26)... In the Terrier Classic, placed first of 49 runners in the 1,000m run (2:49.48). Breagy ran a personal best and ECAC qualifying mark of 2:49.48, which narrowly missed Rhode Island's current school record of 2:49.09. This makes Breagy the No. 2 URI individual all-time and this is the No. 2 URI mark all-time... At the Atlantic 10 Indoor's, won the 1,000m. Her time of 2:51.87 was just .34 seconds off the conference record in the event. Breagy is the fourth Ram to win the 1,000... In the New England Indoor Championships, earned third in the 1-mile in a personal best time of 4:54.08... At the ECAC Indoor Championship, won the 1,000m title in 2:49.20. On day one, Breagy broke Patti Douglas' 32-year-old URI record (2:49.09) in her first-placed 1,000m prelims (2:47.14).
