2022 (Freshman)

• Appeared in 24 games, making 10 starts in the circle
• Had a record of 2-4 with a 6.22 earned run average
• Second on the team in innings pitched (68.2) and strikeouts (36) 

• Attended Queen Anne's County High School, where she played softball and competed in weight lifting and conditioning
• Was a pitcher, outfielder and played third base
• Was a two-year team captain in softball
• Also competed for the Bigbie's Lady Black Sox Elite club team
• Led Queen Anne's to its first Class 2A state championship her senior season
• Was the winning pitcher and recorded 14 strikeouts in the championship game
• During her senior season, she was 12-0 with a 0.85 ERA
• She struck out 120 batters in 82 innings
• Named to the All-Conference Team, she also was the Pitcher of the Year
• On offense, she hit .467 with 4 home runs, 24 RBI and 22 runs scored as a senior
• For her high school career, Whiteford was 29-6 record with a 1.99 ERA and 301 strikeouts in 235 innings pitched
• In 53 games, she batted .449 with nine home runs, 70 hits, 27 extra base hits, 58 RBI and 56 runs scored
• She was a three-time First-Team All-Conference selection (no team was picked in 2020 due to COVID)
• As a freshman, she batted .500 with 27 hits, five doubles and two home runs in 54 at bats with 17 RBI.
• She also pitched 52 innings and had 50 strikeouts
• As a sophomore, she batted .386 with seven doubles, three home runs and 17 RBI in 57 at bats and scored 22 runs
• Pitched 101 innings, going 12-3 with 131 strikeouts
• During her freshman season, she led her team to its first regional game appearance in school history
• During her sophomore year, she led the team to its first state championship appearance in school history

• Daughter of Andrea and Keith Whiteford
• Has one brother, Parker
• Her father Keith played baseball at Washington College (1991-94) and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame
• Considered attending the College of New Jersey, Salisbury University, Rollins College and College of Charleston
• Chose Rhode Island because she had a great feeling when she stepped on campus. She felt incredibly welcomed by the staff and players, and felt that URI fit her needs academically and athletically
• Enjoys going to the beach, boating and crabbing
• Favorite athlete is Lamar Jackson
• Favorite Team is the Baltimore Ravens
