Brendan Kerr is in his first season with Rhode Island.

He spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the TexasWesleyan women's volleyball team. Before ariving at TexasWesleyan, Kerr was the volunteer assistant coach for the NCAADivision I women's program at the University of Arizona. Kerr spentthe majority of his time training the liberos and defensivespecialists. In his last season with Arizona, the Wildcats earnedtheir first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005.

Kerr attended the University of Arizona where he received hisbachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies.  At Arizona, heplayed for the men's club team where he was a team captain andlibero, helping the Wildcats to three Mountain West Conferencetitles and a NIRSA National Championship in 2005.  Kerr servedas a head coach and court trainer for VBC Dinamo (girls) and as theassistant club director for Arizona Premier Volleyball (boys) inTucson, Ariz. He has served as a camp coach at the David RubioVolleyball Camps for the past five years, last summer at theWichita State Volleyball Camps, and head court coach for theTexas Wesleyan Nike Volleyball Camp.

A native of Campbell, Calif., Kerr played for Chris Muscat atBay to Bay Volleyball Club for four years; a perennial top-10program, in Santa Cruz, Calif., under the direction of BradKeller.
