Caitlyn Welsh enters her second season as an assistant coach after joining Bob Schneck's coaching staff in August of 2013.

A former star player for Schneck, Welsh has worked as a summer camp volleyball coach for several schools. From 2006 through 2013, she has worked camps for Rhode Island, Bentley College, North Kingstown High School and Fox Lane High School.

As a player for the Rams from 2006-09. Welsh became the seventh player to reach 1,000 career kills. She still ranks fifth all-time in school history with 1,092. A two-year captain, she also ranks in the top 10 in matches played (7th/115), solo blocks (8th/62) and digs (10th/969). She was twice selected as the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week during her career.

Welsh earned a degree in Business Administration from Rhode Island in 2010, with a minor in French. She is a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Honors Business Fraternity and the French National Honor Society.
