Adam Schemm is in his fifth year as the Assistant AD/Marketingat the University of Rhode Island. He currently serves as the sportadministrator for the softball, cheerleading and dance teams. Inhis role, he is responsible for marketing, advertising, socialmedia, game entertainment, branding, and ticket sales initiativeswithin the department.
After joining Rhody in the role of Assistant AD/Marketing,Schemm worked to overhaul the department's in-game entertainmentstrategies for men's basketball with solutions that focused onblending the collegiate and NBA-style atmospheres with engagingpromotions. These revamped strategies helped the department toacheive the highest revenue-producing crowd ever for men'sbasketball. Schemm also instituted the department's first-everproactive ticket sales campaign, leading to an increase in men'sbasketball ticket sales revenue.
Prior to URI, Schemm spent the previous year at the Universityof Wisconsin-Milwaukee as the Assistant Director of AthleticMarketing. In that role, he managed all of the marketing effortsfor the UWM athletics department, while also playing a major rolein corporate sales.He also gained experience as an AthleticMarketing and Ticket Sales Representative at Marquette Universityfrom 2008-09 and was a Marketing and Promotions Assistant from2006-2008 as an undergraduate at UW-P.
A native of Appleton, Wis., Schemm earned his bachelor's degreein sport management, with a minor in economics, in 2008 from theUniversity of Wisconsin-Parkside and his master's degree in sportadministration from Ohio University in 2014.
He and his wife, Ellie, live in West Warwick with their daughterScarlett.
