Chad Gouin joined the University of Rhode Island Department of Recreational Services staff in April of 2007 and serves as the Coordinator of Intramural Sports. He came to URI after spending the previous three years at The University of Toledo where he served as the Director of Intramurals, Sport Clubs & Summer Camps in the Office of Recreation.Chad began his career in campus recreation as the Graduate Assistant of the Intramural Sports Program at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned his Master's Degree in College Student Personnel. Chad earned his Bachelor's Degrees in Economics and Communications at The University of Michigan.Chad is currently certified as an Amateur Softball Association of America umpire and as a USA Hockey official as well. An avid sports fan, Chad has been a Michigan Football season ticket holder for 20 years. In his spare time, Chad enjoys traveling and following his beloved alma mater's athletic teams and the Detroit Red Wings.A native of Alpena, MI, Chad currently resides in Newport.
