CINCINNATI, OHIO - Rhode Island dopped an Atlantic 10 contest against Xavier at Corcoran Field on Friday evening.

The loss snapped URI's four-game winning streak and dropped the Rams to 4-2-1 in the Atlantic 10 and 13-2-1 overall.

Xavier opened the scoring on a goal at the 25:09 mark and went up by a score of 2-0 when they added another goal at the 29:32 mark. The Musketeers took a 2-0 lead into halftime and the two teams battled through a scoreless second half to give Xavier the shutout victory.

Sophomore Jamie Epperlein made three saves in goal for Rhode Island. URI returns to action on Sunday when they remain in Ohio for an Atlantic 10 match against Dayton at 1:00 p.m.
