Women's Soccer Suffers Setback Against Dayton, 1-0

DAYTON, OHIO - Rhode Island dropped a tough 1-0 decision against Dayton in an Atlantic 10 match at the Baujan Field on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams battled through a scoreless first half with both teams notching five shots on goal. At the 67:54 mark of the second half, Dayton scored the only goal of the game as Megan McKnight took a pass from Sarah Walker and put in a shot from 30-yards out for the 1-0 victory for the Flyers.

Sophomore Jamie Epperlein made three saves in goal for URI, now 13-3-1 with a 4-3-1 mark in the Atlantic 10. The Rams will return to action on Friday, Oct. 27 when they host LaSalle in an Atlantic 10 contest at the URI Soccer Complex at 7:00 p.m.
