KINGSTON, R.I. - University of Rhode Island freshman outside hitter Jillian Bekke tallied 13 kills but it was Dayton defeating the Rams, 3-0 (30-19, 31-29, 30-20) in Atlantic-10 women's volleyball action this afternoon in Keaney Gymnasium.

Dayton (9-9, 3-1 A-10) freshman outside hitter Kortney Norris was credited with a match-high 18 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Robynne Greene totaled 11 kills on 17 swings with only one hitting error for a .588 hitting percentage to lead the Flyers.

Rhode Island (5-11, 0-3 A-10) freshman libero Leslie Wiekamp added a match-high 11 digs, while junior setter Inga Schlecht was credited with 29 assists.

URI continues its six-match homestand, Friday (Oct. 7), hosting Temple at 7:00 p.m.
