KINGSTON, R.I. - University of Rhode Island junior outside hitter Rachel Bello tallied 10 kills and seven digs but it was Temple defeating the Rams, 3-0 (30-25, 30-22, 30-27), in Atlantic-10 women's volleyball action this afternoon in Keaney Gymnasium.

Temple (12-8, 5-1 A-10) senior outside hitter Zhen Jia Liu was credited with a double-double, posting 13 kills and 10 digs, while sophomore middle blocker Christina DeMarco totaled a match-high 15 kills on 19 swings with only one hitting error for a blistering .737 hitting percentage to lead the Owls.

Rhode Island (5-12, 0-4 A-10) freshman outside hitter Jillian Bekke added 10 kills, while freshman defensive specialist Peggy Doino and freshman libero Leslie Wiekamp had 12 and 10 digs, respectively.

URI plays the fourth of a six-match homestand, Sunday (Oct. 9), hosting La Salle at 2:00 p.m.
