KINGSTON, R.I. - University of Rhode Island junior middle blocker Ivy Zuidhof totaled 11 kills to lead the Rams to a 3-0 (30-27, 30-18, 30-18) win over La Salle this afternoon in Atlantic 10 women's volleyball action in Keaney Gymnasium.

Junior outside hitter Rachel Bello added 12 digs and eight kills for URI (6-12, 1-4 A-10), which picked up its first conference victory of the season and broke a nine-match losing streak with the win.

Junior outside hitter Kristen Kelsey was credited with 12 kills and 16 digs, both match-highs, on the afternoon for the Explorers (7-13, 0-6 A-10).

Sophomore outside hitter Joanna Mitchell and freshman libero Leslie Wiekamp compiled 11 and 10 digs for the Rams.

URI finishes off a six-match homestand next weekend, hosting George Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 14), and Charlotte at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 16) in Atlantic-10 action.
