Final Stats

KINGSTON, R.I. - University of Rhode Island junior outside hitter Rachel Bello tallied 15 kills and 10 digs but it was Xavier holding off the Rams, 3-1 (28-30, 34-32, 30-24, 30-18) in Atlantic-10 women's volleyball action this evening in Keaney Gymnasium.

Xavier (10-5, 3-0 A-10) junior middle blocker Astyn Bjorklund was credited with 16 kills and a .600 hitting percentage, while senior outside hitter Kate Duchek totaled a team-high 18 kills to lead four Musketeers in double-figure kills.

Rhode Island (5-10, 0-2 A-10) freshman Leslie Wiekamp added a match-high 16 digs, while junior setter Inga Schlecht was credited with 47 assists.

URI continues its six-match homestand, Sunday (Oct. 2), hosting Dayton at 1:00 p.m.
