Rams Fall 1-0 At George Washington

WASHINGTON, DC -- The University of Rhode Island dropped a 1-0 decision at George Washington on Sunday afternoon.

The lone goal of the match came early on, as George Washington scored in the third minute off a set piece. The Colonials' Lauren Kelly fired a corner kick into the box, which Rhody goalkeeper Jackie Fede attempted to make a play on. GW's Erica Wright was able to get to the ball first and found the back of the net.

Fede made five saves in goal for URI, while the Colonials' Amie Kern stopped six shots. For the match, Rhode Island outshot GW, 19-14 - as both teams put six shots on-goal.

The loss - Rhody's fourth straight - drops its overall season record to 4-8-1 and 0-4 in the Atlantic 10.
