Rhody Travels to Siena for Saturday Tilt with Saints

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhody travels to Siena for a Saturday afternoon tilt with the Saints - the first of seven consecutive road games for the Rams. Tip-off at The ARC is set for 2:00 p.m. Rhode Island is a perfect 4-0 in the all-time series vs. Siena.

The last time the Rams and Saints met - on Nov. 17, 2008 - Rhody posted a 66-60 win in Albany, N.Y. Third-year head coach Cathy Inglese has turned in a 7-7 all-time mark against Siena. As the head coach at Vermont, Inglese was 5-7 against the Saints before going 2-0 at Boston College.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Siena enters the contest looking for its first win of the season after dropping a pair of games to Sacred Heart (62-42) and Binghamton (80-70). Siena - which was picked to finish seventh (of 10) in the MAAC preseason poll - is led by Lily Grenci (16.0 ppg/5.5 rpg) and Maja Gerlyng (15.0 ppg). Cristina Centeno is the Saints' top rebounder (7.0 rpg) and has recorded a team-leading 10 assists and six steals. As a team, Siena is shooting 40% (44-110) from the field and 74.1% (20-27) from the free throw line while averaging 34.0 rebounds per game.

GETTING DEFENSIVE
Rhody has recorded 17 steals in the last two games while forcing Maine and Providence into a combined 43 turnovers. The Rams also committed fewer fouls than the opposition in the last two games, combining for 35, compared to 41 by the Black Bears and Friars.

ATLANTIC 10 HONOR ROLL
Junior Ajanae Boone was named to the Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor Roll on Nov. 14, after leading the Rams in scoring in games against Delaware (16p) and Maine (11p). For the week, Boone averaged 13.5 points and shot 50-percent (7-14) from long range.
