Game Notes

KINGSTON, R.I. - After a week-long layoff for exams, Rhode Island returns to the Ryan Center for a Sunday afternoon meeting with New Hampshire. The game will be the tail end of a doubleheader with the Rhody men, who will host Yale at 2 p.m. Both games will be aired, locally, on Cox HD and can be heard online, via RIU2 - Rhode Island's student radio station.

The Rams are 9-16 in the all-time series vs. the Wildcats. The last time the teams met (Jan. 1, 2011), UNH posted an 88-74 triple overtime victory in Durham, N.H.  In that game, Megan Shoniker led all players with 29 points while Sherrie Session and Lara Gaspar added 11 apiece.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire enters the contest looking to pick up where it left off after downing Manhattan, 57-42, on Dec. 9.  Prior to that, the Wildcats had lost two in a row to Harvard (69-62) and Holy Cross (61-50). UNH is 1-3 at home this season and 3-1 when playing on the road. The Wildcats are led by a trio of players averaging double figures: Denise Beliveau (12.5 ppg), Cari Reed (10.7 ppg) and Kelsey Hogan (10.5 ppg). Beliveau also leads the team in rebounding (9.1 rpg) and steals (19) while Abagail LaRosa has a team-best 21 assists.  Collectively, Quinnipiac is shooting 37.0% (154-416) from the field and is averaging 34.8 rebounds per game.
