KINGSTON, R.I.
- On Friday evening, Rhode Island hosts Iona in a non-conference
matchup set to begin at 5 p.m. It is the first of two Rhody soccer
matches on the evening, as the men's soccer team takes on #10
Boston College in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m.
The Rams (4-3-2) are coming off a thrilling 3-2 double-overtime
victory this past Sunday at the URI Soccer Complex. Megan Rauscher
scored the gamewinning goal in the 108th minute, helping to snap a
three-game slide for the Rams.
Iona enters the game with a 1-5-2 overall mark. The Gaels are
currently mired in a five-game winless streak, coming off a 2-1
overtime loss at Columbia on Sept. 16. During the five-game span,
Iona has suffered three one-goal losses, while drawing twice.
Rhody has captured all four previous meetings versus the
Gaels.
Fans unable to attend the game can follow the action live, via
Gametracker.
Live video streaming will also be available (weather permitting)
through GoRhodyTV.
