Setting the Scene

Rhode Island finished the two-day IC4A Championships in eighth, scoring 28 points. Cornell won the IC4A's with 74 points, Connecticut followed in second with 59, and Rutgers rounded out the top three with 39 points.

Rhode Island Results:

• Rhody's 4x400m relay team (Victor Boonham, Ben Lakeman, Mark Castilletti, and Anthony Davidson) won the title in a school record 3:09.84 for 10 points. The team's previous school best in Saturday's prelims was 3:11.20. The meet and facility records are 3:06.98, set in 2011.

• Ronald Woodley earned third in the triple jump with a personal best leap of 15.39m to score the Rams six points.

• In the 500m run, Anthony Davidson placed fifth in 1:03.61, scoring four points for Rhode Island.
