KINGSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island men's track and field picked up right where it left off, collecting Atlantic 10 weekly honors after the outdoor season opener at UCF this past weekend. Grad student Matt Santy was named the A-10 Field Performer of the Week after his performance at the Black & Gold Invitational.

Santy was second in the long jump with a leap of 7.71 meters and placed third in the high jump after clearing 2.15 meters the next day. Both his high jump and long jump marks lead the conference.

The Rams are back in action this weekend at the Raleigh Relays and the Jaylin Rainford Invitational.
