Rhody Golf Completes Round Two of the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship

Setting the Scene:

2013 Atlantic 10 Championship

Course: Heron Bay G.C. – Coral Springs, Fla. (par 72/7,208 yards)

The field: 13 teams, 65 total golfers

Weather: 82 degrees and sunny

Rhode Island's Individual Results:

* Branden Chicorka is tied for fifth place (141) after day two of the A-10 Championship.  He carded a 3-over 75 on Saturday.  The senior from Enfield, Conn. began the day atop the leaderboard after firing a 6-under par 66 during Friday's first round.  

* Andrew Fiorenzano is tied for 30th place overall (148).  The junior registered a score of 78 during the second round of play.  On Friday's first 18 holes of competition, he tied his low round of the season with a 2-under par 70.  

* Nick Fairweather had a solid second round on Saturday, firing a 3-over 75 - putting him in a tie for 44th place overall (152).  The freshman playing in his first A-10 Championship opened with a first day score of 77.

* Jeffrey Ray is tied for 54th place (158) after a second round score of 80.  He opened A-10 Championship play with a 78 on Friday.

* Jared Adams is tied for 60th place (159) after 36 holes of play.  He registered an 82 during Saturday's second round after shooting an opening round 77.

Rhode Island Team Results:

* The Rams sit in ninth place after day two, with a total score of 598 (290-308).  Rhody compiled a Saturday score of 308, after registering its low team aggregate score of the spring (290) on Friday.  

What's Next:

Rhode Island competes in the final round of the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship on Sunday, April 28 at the Heron Bay G.C. in Coral Springs, Fla.
