Hofstra and Manhattan are the co-defending champions of the classic, tying with a plus-37 team score last year. Rhode Island's
Josiah Tong placed fourth out of 57 golfers in the field, shooting a plus-4 220 on the par-72 course last Fall.
When Rhode Island participated as a team in 2023, it placed second in a 10-team field. Bryson Richards won the individual title, while
Tony Liu tied for third overall and Geronimo Narizzano tied for fifth to lead the team.
Great River Golf Course is home to the LPGA's Epson Tour Hartford Healthcare Women's Championship. Since opening in 2001, it also has hosted multiple USGA qualifying events and intercollegiate events.
