How It Happened
Rhody's Donika Murray got the scoring started off a corner kick in the 38th minute. From the left side of the goal, Murray's ball bent past Bona GK Lauren Malcolm. The Rams dominated the first half offensively, outshooting the Bonnies, 12-4, including a 9-1 edge in shots on-goal.
In the second half, Rhody added two more scores in quick succession. Katrin Gylfadottir found the back of the net for her first goal of the season in the 55th minute, taking a Jennifer Mencos pass to score on the right corner. Less than a minute later, Allyson Reynolds scored her first goal of the match after a service pass from Nicole Brennan.
Reynolds would strike again in the 63rd minute, beating Malcolm on the left side after a Taylor Ross delivery.
