Rhode Island Travels to Dayton Thursday, Hosts Duquesne Sunday for Senior Day

Rhode Island (4-6-4) will play a pair of conference games this week, traveling to Dayton on Thursday, Oct. 20 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff time against the Flyers. The Rams will then host Duquesne at the URI Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 23) at 1 p.m. Prior to kickoff, Rhody women's soccer's class of 2017 will be honored in a pre-game ceremony - midfielder Sarah Warjas, forward Nicole Brennan, goalkeeper Annie Messner, midfielder Olivia DiFonso, and goalkeeper Katie Nickles

  • The Rams enter the game coming off a 1-1 tie against Massachusetts Sunday (Oct. 16) and a 4-0 shutout win against St. Bonaventure Thursday (Oct. 13).
  • Freshman Alisha Kahele-Manners tallied the first goal of her career in the 1-1 draw against Massachusetts this past Sunday.

  • Dayton enters Thursday's match with a 3-8-3 overall record and are 1-3-2 in A-10 play.  The Flyers are 1-3-2 at home in 2016.
  • Last time out on Oct. 16, Dayton fell to Fordham, 2-1.
  • Junior Alexis Kiehl leads the Flyers with 10 goals – a career best. She has recorded 56 shots, 28 of which have been on goal.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns holds 61 saves with a 1.31 goals allowed average.

  • Dayton leads the all-time series, 16-3-0.
  • The last Rhody win over Dayton came on Nov. 2, 2006 - a 3-2 victory in A-10 tournament play.

  • The Dukes are coming off a 3-2 loss to Saint Joseph's on Oct. 16.
