How It Happened

Nicole Brennan found the back of the net in the 24th minute- her fourth goal of the season – which gave Rhode Island a 1-0 lead into the second half. Rhody struck again when Taylor Ross took a shot to the far post in the 54th minute. URI sealed the lead when Madison Waldron added a third goal on the afternoon with just thirty seconds left to play. 

The shut out advances Rhode Island to a 6-7-5 overall record for the regular season.
