How It Happened
SJU's Dakota Mills tallied the first goal of the match at the five minute mark and the Hawks extended its lead to 2-0 in the 30th minute on an own-goal by URI. The score held through the halftime break and into the 54th minute of play until Rhody's Madison Waldron blasted her first goal of the season past SJU keeper Cameron Perrott to make it 2-1.
The Rams would tie it at 2-2 in the 63rd minute, as Donika Murray put back a rebound off a shot by Nicole Brennan. Dakota Mills would strike again in the 84th minute with the eventual game winner, taking a pass from left to right in the box that found the back of the net.
