How it Happened
New Hampshire got off to a fast start, forcing junior goalkeeper Nils Leifhelm to make his first save of the game just nine seconds into the first half. The Wildcats maintained possession through much of the early going, and outshot Rhody 12-1 throughout the first 45 minutes of play.

Kristian Piippo put UNH up 1-0 in the 18th minute when he tucked a free kick past the outstretched arms of a diving Leifhelm for the first goal of the game. The Rams later knotted the score - at the 43:04 mark - as junior Tyler Dickson headed a service from freshman Peder Kristiansen to the front of the goal, where freshman Stavros Zarokostas scored the equalizer.

With just 6:46 remaining in regulation, Chris Arling netted what would stand as the game-winner when he beat Leifhelm on a low shot to the far post.
